Comet 17P/Holmes Explosion, A Sign of Hopi Prophecy? By: admin

Comet 17P/Holmes so faint it's normally invisible to the naked eye burst into aComet 17P/Holmes comparison with the sun.n explosion millions of times brighter than it's normal size in the course of just one day, Oct. 23rd - Oct. 24th, 2007.  Hubble has gathered incredible images that show a blue explosion of luminescent gasses and dust that originally was measured at 15,000 miles across but has since grown into a gigantic size that has been reported to dwarf the size of our sun.  The diameter of the outburst has grown to a size larger than our sun, 1.4 million kilometres in diameter and it's luminosity may not fade for months according to experts.

According to Hal Weaver of Johns Hopkins University's Applied Physics Laboratory, "This was not the first flareup for Comet Holmes. Weaver recalled that when it was discovered in 1892, the British astronomer Edwin Holmes detected it because it had suddenly burst into a huge ball of light in his telescope. Then it dimmed, and 73 days later flared up briefly once more."(1)

The ongoing burst from the comet has mystified Hawaiin astronomers who have called the incident unprecedented. The Hawaii team estimates that it's still expanding at a staggering 0.5 kilometres every second. (2)

The explosion as  many theories as to it's origins, including the comet was spinning so fast that it has flown apart, a piece of another comet hit it causing the explosion.  Whatever the cause eyes will be on the skies in mid January of 08 when the comet comes back around to see if the brightness has diminished.

What's so interesting about the brilliance of this burst is the reference to the Hopi Prophecy of the Blue Kachina.  According to the ancient Hopi prophecy, the emergence into the fifth world, a concept similar to the Mayans view of the great earth cycles, will begin with the sign of the blue star in the sky signifing the re-birth of consciousness.  The blue star is symbolic of the Blue Kachina who dances in front of the people and takes off his mask signifying the beginning of a new age.

According to the Hopi there are 9 signs of the end times:

"This is the First Sign: We are told of the coming of the white-skinned men, like Pahana, but not living like Pahana men who took the land that was not theirs. And men who struck their enemies with thunder.

"This is the Second Sign: Our lands will see the coming of spinning wheels filled with voices. In his youth, my father saw this prophecy come true with his eyes -- the white men bringing their families in wagons across the prairies."

"This is the Third Sign: A strange beast like a buffalo but with great long horns, will overrun the land in large numbers. These White Feather saw with his eyes -- the coming of the white men's cattle."

    "This is the Fourth Sign:
The land will be crossed by snakes of iron.

"This is the Fifth Sign: The land shall be criss-crossed by a giant spider's web."

"This is the Sixth sign: The land shall be criss-crossed with rivers of stone that make pictures in the sun."

"This is the Seventh Sign: You will hear of the sea turning black, and many living things dying because of it."

"This is the Eight Sign: You will see many youth, who wear their hair long like my people, come and join the tribal nations, to learn their ways and wisdom.

"And this is the Ninth and Last Sign: You will hear of a dwelling-place in the heavens, above the earth, that shall fall with a great crash. It will appear as a blue star. Very soon after this, the ceremonies of my people will cease.

The 9 signs are reminiscent of human gestation intervals and the sighting of the blue star in the sky is the culmination of the events that lead up to the emergence of the next world or Fifth world.  The beginning of the end which leads to a new beginning, the Alpha and Omega.

When Animals Evolve On Islands, Size Doesn't Matter By: DigDug510

A theory explaining the evolution of giant rodents, miniature elephants, and even miniature humans on islands has been called into questions by new research.  The new study refutes the 'island rule' which says that in island environments small mammals such as rodents tend to evolve to be larger, and large mammals such as elephants tend to evolve to be smaller, with the original size of the species being the key determining factor in these changes.

Morgawr, Sea Serpent of Cornwall By: Lighteyes01

The Cornish coast is a place of rugged beauty and great diversity. Ranging from sleepy golden bays to wave ravaged cliffs and traitorous waters that have claimed countless ships throughout the ages. What better a place than to set a century old tale about a giant sea beast? However; Morgawr is no story.

Morgawr means ‘sea giant’ in the ancient, but still used, dialect of the Cornish people.
