The Planetary Society offers a fascinating look at a little-known issue that some in spaceflight circles are calling the "flyby anomaly" – the apparent tendency of spacecraft swinging past Earth to speed up slightly, more than can be accounted for by known forces.

"A meteor zipped across the U.S. Pacific Northwest sky early Tuesday morning before exploding, possibly littering eastern Oregon with marble- to basketball-size space rocks, an expert says.

Impact sites are yet to be found, according to Richard Pugh, a scientist with the Cascadia Meteorite Laboratory at Portland State University in Oregon."

Asteroid TU24 will travel closest to the Earth on Jan. 29th, 2007.  At a distance of 334,000 miles from the Earth TU 24 is the closest observed object to approach us in 20 years.  Radio waves have already been bounced off it's surface which is between 150-600 meters wide. 

Looks more like a green rock than an actual humanoid but it also has a stunning resemblance to the famous Bigfoot video that started the Bigfoot craze.  Bigfoot spotted on Mars, watch it again on CNN news.

The Center for Disease Control will be studying the mysterious skin ailment known as Morgellons.  The CDC said the condition's cause and prevalence are unknown.
